The agent you hire to buy or sell a home must be empathetic to your situation.

Whether you’re a buyer or seller, it’s important to work with an agent who has empathy and understands the stress you’re going through.

I bring this up because my wife and I recently put our home on the market for the first time in 16½ years. With three kids and two COVID puppies living in our household, I became even more empathetic and sensitive to all that goes into selling a home (getting it prepared for showings, gathering feedback, agents not giving feedback, etc.). It can be very frustrating.

Of course, as a licensed agent, I had to disclose that I was selling my own home. You’d think that real estate agents would be sympathetic to my situation and responsive to gathering feedback, but guess what? They weren’t. Not all agents are created the same.

If you or anyone you know is thinking of buying or selling or you’d like to know what your home is worth, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or check out luxechicagolandhomes.com. If you have any other questions, feel free to give me a shout as well. As always, keep raising the bar in real estate!
