Has Our Market Benefited From the Pandemic?

The Chicagoland market has actually benefited from the pandemic.

How has the pandemic affected the Chicagoland real estate market? Where are the migration patterns like for people moving in and out of the state of Illinois?

Did you know that in 2020 luxury home sales of $1,000,000 were up 40% in the suburbs but down 7% in Chicago?

I have relationships with agents not just across the country, but also the world. I’m a member of Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate, and I was awarded their Most Valued Partner in 2019. All of this is to say that migration patterns are very important, and Chicagoland is a melting pot. It’s been in the news a lot lately because more people are moving out than moving in, but the luxury market has benefited from the onset of COVID-19.

By using this link, you can see where Illinois home sellers are moving to (Iowa, Indiana, Florida, and New York are all among the most-desired locations) and where buyers are coming from. If you have questions about this or any real estate topic, don’t hesitate to call or email me. Also, check out luxechicagolandhomes.com anytime to see which properties are for sale in the Chicagoland market. Talk to you soon!
